As part of its obligation as a Tier 1 Sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, BT is involved in the installation of a high capacity broadband connection to Portland to cope with the media and organisational requirements of the Olympic sailing events. 

This provides Team Dorset with a unique opportunity to investigate the potential demand for high quality broadband with a view to generating a business case for expansion of these services across the wider Dorset community.

Team Dorset would therefore like to invite your organisation to participate in this brief on-line survey to help us establish the business case to extend high capacity broadband services beyond those required under the Olympic obligation.

The deadline for this survey was in mid-February.  We have received responses from over 650 businesses and the initial analysis shows that 88.2% of the respondents said that broadband was essential for their business.  We have taken the decision to keep the survey open so please take the time to have your say in the survey.
