Before, during and after, 2012 will create many different opportunities for communities come together in a wide range of activities from celebration to learning.

Here's a great example of both..... With a grant from the Arts Council, Weymouth College provided professional carnival workshops for the community. In turn, those with new skills helped school children create their own costumes, music and dances for a young peoples walking carnival as part of our legacy festival - Spirit of the Sea.

Using 2012 as inspiration communities can work together to make a real difference; the Dorset Strategic Partnership (DSP) and all of the local area partnerships within it are there to help - to find out more about the DSP go to the Dorset For You website.

Great new projects are being planned all of the time for example, Dorset NHS will be providing 2012 Challenge for all communities to help us stay healthy and live longer, but we want to know what you want to achieve.
